America Online Founder and billionaire investor Steve case will bring his five-stop Rise of the Rest startup bus tour to the Launch Wisconsin event in Green Bay on Oct. 17.
The announcement was made Monday that Green Bay was one the five winning communities among dozens of communities nationwide considered as a Rise of the rest tour stop. The Rise of the Rest Tour launched in 2014 to showcase founders in emerging startup ecosystems across the U.S. The effort is led and funded by Case, who has also pledged $100,000 toward the pitch competition scheduled during Launch Wisconsin’s third annual event at Lambeau Field. Case also generally speaks to audiences at each stop on his tour and hosts a fireside chat for the broader community to discuss the opportunities for regional entrepreneurship.
